Just two posts on the way the book Roots is progressing and I have already decided to stop. Kunta has been taken away as a slave and he knows he will never see his beloved Africa again. I am now reading how the toubob are torturing him and the others with him. It is too heartbreaking. I will not write my progress further because I know I shall be biased and go on a spree of America-bashing and I dont want to do that!

Roots was horribly sad. I'm in America and it wrenched my heart out. But also things that have happened to Native American Indians in the past are terrible, too. :(
