My Little Corner

My little library here in Bangalore. Why I put it here? Well actually, I can do really fancy things on my Nokia E71 that I bought from Chicago. I have the internet and other fancy things that the best friend Manju uploaded, most of which I don't yet know what to do with. But a few days ago, I managed to configure Blogger on my mobile and I can send pictures directly to my blog from the phone. It super-thrilled me. And this pic is one of those.
This little cupboard though holds some very precious things for me. My books, the most precious of them all, my Winnie cartoon series fur dolls (I kinda them), a wooden painted shoe that I got from Channapatna (that was a great story), a plastic doggie in a basket that dad bought for me in Madras for Rs 5, a wooden whistle, again from Channapatna, a frame of Lord Krishna from ISKCON, a brass Om, some lace from precious gifts, knick knacks.
I am rather proud of myself, I get to post pictures now! Maybe I should start posting personal ones too, I have so many adorable ones that I don't get to share at all otherwise.... (Am I thinking a mobile phone blog?)
In other developments, I bought a book on women, 'May you be the mother of a hundred sons' by Elizabeth something, a Washington Post journalist. Still juggling between books, 'The Sufi Mystery', a book on Russia, newspapers, several interesting blogs, some movies and reading life through my glasses.
Watched a movie on goodbyes called Dasvidaniya, quite ok.
Re-re-discovered Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and last night, fell in love with 'Afreen Afreen' all over again. The other current favourite is 'Tujh me rab dikhta he' from the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, which, by the way, bored me out of my wits.
Otherwise, life is going on. Thoughts take flight, go fleeting by, I want to write, and sing, and read , and travel. Life and desires continue at the same pace.
